Star Gazing

Our peace is in Him. Our joy is in Him. Our love is in Him; so are gentleness, kindness, self-control, and patience. All of it is in Him. As our roots grow deeper in Him, we are renewed, refreshed, and strengthened. We produce greater fruits.  Our real life is hidden with Christ in God.  In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters and He lives in all of us.

When something that is truly valuable and very meaningful is hidden, would not it be searched for and sought after? Isn’t your life and who you truly are worth the search? And if your real life is hidden in Christ wouldn’t you seek Him and let nothing get in your way?  Wouldn’t you let your roots grow tap into Him for nourishment?  This nourishment is eternal. This water of life is everlasting.  So the question remains: “What are you rooted in?”

The Psalm 19:1-6 says:

“The heavens tell of the glory of God. The skies display his marvelous craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known. They speak without a sound or a word; their voice is silent in the skies; yet their message has gone out to all the earth, and their words to all the world.

The sun lives in the heavens where God placed it. It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race. The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end. Nothing can hide from its heat.

Every day the skies make Him known, every day the sun is eager to run its race and nothing can hide from its heat.”

How are you making Him known today? Are you eager to run the race God has set before you? Can people see the light in you? Are you so on fire for Christ that nothing–not even darkness–can hide from your light?

The Bible talks about learning from the ants and watching them, but we can also watch the skies and learn how we can make Christ known in the earth. How we can worship God the father? How can we give Him glory with our lives, just like the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, the heavens and the Universe does on a daily bases? This is true Star Gazing.
