Love, Live, Forgive
2 Thessalonians 1:2 (AMP): Grace (unmerited favor) be to you and [heart] peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
Grace is the gift of God, the infinite love, mercy, favor and goodwill shown to humankind by God. Gratitude illustrates that Christian joy is enhanced by your ability to recall the goodness of others. Your result is your ability to forgive shortcomings and unkindnesses that have been done to you and even to others. That goes against the grain of our “don’t get mad–get even” society but this is perfectly consistent with the compassion and forgiveness God has shown you.
Therefore we must be quick to forgive evil and slow to forget good. If you harbor ill-will toward someone, resolve it quickly and begin to uphold that person in prayer. You will be amazed by the glory of God resting upon you and by the results you receive in your personal life.
